This is a used wicket now and we have got a fantastic score of 356 runs in the PAK vs IND game. The pitch looks like a beautiful wicket to bat on. IND vs SL Super 4 Match Preview

IND vs SL Super 4 match preview

Team India

India played their first match against Pakistan and was disappointed with the batting performance. The rain-hit match got cancelled and Pakistan didn’t bat after India put 266 runs on the scoreboard. In the next match against Nepal, India thrashed Nepal by 10 wickets after chasing the target in the rain-hit match. Both openers Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill scored fabulous half-centuries and put India in a commanding position to win the match easily.

The next match was again with Pakistan which concluded on the reserve day. Indian fans wanted a full quota of the match and they witnessed one of the best Indian performances against Pakistan. India humiliated Pakistan in the 3rd match of the Super 4 stage. The Pakistan skipper Babar Azam won the toss and elected to bowl first. Both Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill attacked the Pakistan pacers and dominated the powerplay without losing any wickets.

Rohit perished on 56 runs followed by Gill on 58 runs. India was off to an excellent start and the moment both KL Rahul and Virat Kohli came to the crease and played a few balls, rain interrupted and the game couldn’t resume again. The next day was taken as a reserve day to finish the match and both Rahul and Kohli hammered Pakistan’s bowlers everywhere. Rahul scored a brilliant 111* runs while Kohli stole the show and smashed 122* runs. Both were not out and India reached a mammoth total of 356/2 in 50 overs.

In response to this, Indian pacers bowled excellent lengths and didn’t give freebies to Pakistan batsmen which ultimately put them under pressure. Jasprit Bumrah picked the first wicket and then Hardik Pandya’s beauty to dismiss Babar Azam was the moment of the match. Kuldeep Yadav announced his ODI return by picking up a fifer. India defeated Pakistan by 228 runs which is the highest win margin for India against Pakistan.

Team Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka started brilliantly too by beating Bangladesh in their first match. Sri Lanka bowled out Bangladesh on just 164 runs. Matheesha Pathirana, who was awarded man of the match too, took 4 wickets. In response to this, Sri Lanka didn’t start innings the way they wanted. All three opening batsmen were out cheaply and they were under pressure. Sadeera Samarawickrama and Charith Asalanka came to the rescue and took the team over the line with their fine half-centuries.

The next match against Afghanistan was a thriller. Sri Lanka won it by just 2 runs after some miscalculations by the Afghanistan team and staff about the overs left. Sri Lanka batted first and Kusal Mendis’ innings of 92 runs took the total to 291 runs after some struggle in the middle overs. In bowling, Kasun Rajitha picked up 4 wickets and Rashid Khan’s cameo in the end went in vain. Mohammed Nabi’s dismissal was the turning point of the match after smashing the fastest half-century by an Afghanistan player.

IND vs SL Super 4 Match 4 Fantasy Predictions

IND vs SL Super 4 match 4 fantasy predictions

Team India

  • Virat Kohli is in sublime form and on this ground, he has struck his 4th century that came against Pakistan. He could be a good captaincy pick also.
  • KL Rahul looked in good touch against Pakistan after his return from injury. He is expected to score runs again.
  • Either Rohit or Shubman would get to score some runs. Both of them scored fifties in the last game.
  • Kuldeep Yadav might take a couple of wickets again because Sri Lanka has some left-handed batsmen.
  • Jasprit Bumrah could get some early wickets because he can swing the ball both ways which we witnessed against Pakistan.

Team Sri Lanka

  • Pathum Nissanka can pile up some runs this time. He got a few starts but couldn’t finish well.
  • S Samarawickrama can play another handy innings because he is a middle-order batsman who absorbs pressure and handles his innings quite well.
  • Dunith Wellalage is a left-arm spinner and he could take some wickets because India has more right-handed batsmen.
  • Maheesh Theekshana has bowled well so far. Since this pitch assists spinners well, his variations like carrom ball could work for him.
